Privacy Policy

Account data: your name, email address and a one-way hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.

Contact list data: the names, email addresses, phone numbers, social handles and group labels you add to your in-app contact list. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store the details of the people you add.

Uploaded media: the videos, images and audio you upload, together with technical details such as duration, dimensions, file size and audio presence.

Derived content: transcripts of your clips' audio, AI-generated captions, cut suggestions, hashtags and platform-specific caption sets.

Usage data: session cookies, request logs, tutorial progress, export and send history, and timestamps of actions such as accepting these policies.

Account and content metadata are stored in the Platform's database. Uploaded media is written to Platform storage, and processed media may be stored with our media processing provider for delivery over their content network.

Sessions use httpOnly cookies, which cannot be read by scripts in your browser. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access to production systems is limited to the Platform owner.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored on the Platform.

The Platform owner has full and unrestricted access to all user accounts, all uploaded videos and images, all derived transcripts and captions, and all contact lists across the entire Platform.

Other users cannot see your content or your contacts. The owner can. If you are not comfortable with the owner having this access, do not upload the content in question.

Platform operations: authenticating you, storing and serving your media, generating captions and edit suggestions, producing platform-specific exports, and sending the messages you ask us to send.

Marketing and promotion: your uploaded and edited media may be used to promote the Platform, as set out in the Terms of Service and the Data Usage Disclosure.

Distribution: media may be published, showcased or distributed by the Platform owner through any channel.

Improvement and support: diagnosing faults, preventing abuse, and understanding which features are used.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share data with service providers who act on our behalf, including our media storage and transformation provider, our AI caption and transcription providers, and our email delivery provider. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

We may disclose data where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent harm.

Account and content data are retained while your account exists. Deleting a video removes it from your library and from our media provider.

Content already incorporated into promotional, editorial or distributed material may be retained and continue to be used, as described in the Terms of Service.

You can access and update your account details, view everything in your library and contact list, delete individual videos and contacts, and request deletion of your account.

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask what data we hold about you, contact support@nanataggedyou.com. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, or to complain to a data protection authority.

Note that the content licence you grant on upload is not revoked by deleting your account, to the extent the content has already been used or distributed.

The Platform is not intended for children. Do not create an account if you are under the age required to form a binding contract where you live.
